The Utah Emergency Medical Training Council has been an active and engaged member of the EMS community for nearly thirty years. With classes, training, information and events planned frequently, citizens of Utah can prepare for a personal emergency or natural disaster.

Emergency Preparedness is not just about Food Storage. It is about considering the full spectrum of human needs in the face of emergency or disaster. These include:

  • Adequate food supply
  • Clean Water – potable water
  • Clothes – warm and cool – closed toe shoes, socks
  • Emergency gear (First Aid kit, blankets, flash lights, generators, candles, etc)
  • Emergency Medical training (First Aid, CPR and Emergency Medical Responder or Wilderness First Aid)
  • Communication Networks and Plans (Meeting places, cell phones, back up batteries, contact lists, etc.)

The Utah Emergency Medical Training Council is an advocate for proper emergency medical training and preparation. In the event of a personal emergency or a natural disaster having the proper items on hand including food, water, clothes etc is so important, but knowing what to do to keep a person alive until EMS personnel arrive is crucial. Please consider adding emergency medical training including CPR and First Aid, and some emergency response training to your list of things to do.

We each owe it to our families, our community and our neighborhood to learn what to do in the event of a personal emergency or natural disaster. Call us today to join our vibrant community of PREPARED citizens.
